Alpinia luteocarpa 'Red Rubin' is a fragrant ginger that looks like a dwarf bamboo bush. It has slender, dark green leaves with red undersides, arrow-shaped leaves, and striking red stems. The plant produces small clusters of white flowers that attract birds and butterflies.
Can be used as a great landscape plant in tropical areas. It is a fast-growing plant that is very adaptable to low light positions with protection from wind. It is also heat and drought tolerant.
