Probably a 3.5 for me. Wrega is nice little pub tucked away in a courtyard - it's an especially nice place to be on a warm day. Fortunately, we had a nice day and were able to sit in the sun. Beer prices are reasonable and you can get full liters if you are so inclined.
I started with chicken soup which was "solid" - probably from the cube, but good all the same. My entrée was meat piergoies which were among the better ones we had on the trip. They were pan fried with a little bacon which added extra favor. The Mister went with bigos, which was just okay although a giant portion.
Service was pleasant and prices are very reasonable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 357453279Mar 9, 2020
Overall not bad! We came probably when it just opened around noon on a Sunday as it was empty. The large space filled right up by the time we left nearly two hours later (we enjoyed the ambiance a lot). I was torn between the beetroot salad and the pancakes, and i decided on the pancakes due to the smaller portion size. The "pancakes" were rolled up slightly thick crepes, stuffed with a Nutella-like substance and apples, and then topped with a cranberry-raspberry sauce. I was impressed by the intense flavor profile and enjoyed the chocolate sauce as well as the sauce on top with whole cranberries. It was quite a delicious treat. I then ordered a black tea which was presented nicely with a porcelain tea kettle and a matching cup. I even got sugar, which I haven't encountered yet in Europe. I tried my friend's cheesecake, which was a little dry and had an odd flavor to it; in addition it had no cake bottom and was just overcooked cheese. Everything here is extremely cheap--even for Poland. My pancakes and tea were only a little over six USD. The ambiance is cool and we all said "this would be a great place to get drunk in." The upstairs even has a nice sunroom in the front overlooking the Jewish Quarter. The menu had anything you could ask for in Poland.

Great food, and massive portions for those who are on a budget. You an purchase your beer in unreasonably large portions as well - 2.5 litres if you wish. One would assume this would only be ordered in groups, but this wasn't the case based on our experiences here.
The food is up there as far as pub food is concerned , and it seemed to have a reasonable amount of native Polish speakers, which is normally a good sign when you're travelling. A good place to stop on your travels around the Jewish quarter - if the weather is kind then the leafy beer garden is the place to beHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris F.London, United Kingdom7625311494Jan 6, 2010First to Review
Made a half hearted attempt to order a beer here in Polish, but was met with the response large? which I think was a short way of saying 'I am fairly clear on what you want and will get you it as long as you stop torturing my native tongue'.
This bar/pub was alright. There was some live music on. Well some guy sang a song then wondered off for a while. Anyway I think this bar would come into it's own in warmer weather as it has a courtyard out front and the music even moves outside too, apparently.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Victoria R.New York, NY79012Dec 13, 2016
I liked this place. It had a chill vibe where I could sit by myself and journal while enjoying a beer. It was early, but I assume it gets more lively later.

Bordering to your average "tourist trap" and nothing special pierogis/dumplings. But still a fairly nice place for lunch. Especially if the whether is good they have a small courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the sun.
