This was my first meal in Poland and It was great. I was surprised that this restaurant didn't have a lot of Yelp reviews, however they have tons of reviews on Google which is why I decided to visit. I wanted to try traditional Polish food and Szynk didn't disappoint! I ordered traditional pork ribs with fried potatoes and cabbage for my main course and meat pierogis as an appetizer. The main course wasn't what I expected but it was really good! The pork ribs were in a stew and the potatoes and cabbage were combined-- it was similar to a fritter or pancake. The food was tasty and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting this gem. Also, it's pretty inexpensive. I paid 18 USD for a main course, appetizer, and two glasses of wine.

Stopped in here for a quick drink on a cold winter day. It's a comfortable atmosphere that seems to be a cross between a traditional polish restaurant and a bar. As this was our evening stop, we tried all the local beers and some dessert. Both did not disappoint.
I am not a cheesecake fan, but this polish cheesecake was to die for.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chris F.London, United Kingdom7625311494Feb 24, 2010First to Review
This place calls itself an Ale House. And it is very good. There are loads of different types of beer here. Amber, Ciemne! Ciechan! Bursztynowe! No I don't know what they are (apart from the first 'gimme') but doesn't busztynowe sound awesomelike a taste explosion?
I went for the Amber as that is a style I generally like quite a lot. The beer I was given was actually a lot darker than I expected, but whatever it looked like..it tasted good.
The décor is unusual but very cool. Lots of old pictures and lots of lamps and keys displayed on the wall. They speak a bit of English and serve hot sandwiches and polish specialties. I didn't eat, but some others did so it could be worth a look.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laurie B.Henderson, NV0182Mar 13, 2018
Great potato pancakes and goulash! Very affordable. Portion size was great and we had great service. Located right next to a synagogue in the Jewish quarter. Atmosphere was nice and quiet.
