About the editor
Dr. Ceana Nezhat, is Director of Nezhat Medical Center and Fellowship Director Atlanta Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery and Reproductive Medicine. He also serves as the Medical Director of Education & Training and Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery & Robotics at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and Adjunct Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Nezhat is the Immediate Past President of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons (SRS) and Past President of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).
Dr. Nezhat has extensive experience in the treatment of multi-organ endometriosis. He has co-authored multiple textbooks and well over 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters including adolescent endometriosis. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his teaching and educational activities, as well as highly acclaimed awards for contributions to education. He is recipient of Distinguished Surgeon Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic and Robotic Surgery (SLS ).He has organized numerous National and international conferences, and is the founder and Chair of the World Symposium on Endometriosis. He is an advocate of early detection of endometriosis by increasing awareness amongst paediatricians, primary care physicians, and school health care providers.Bibliographic Information
