Kapton tape is developed by Dupont which is a HN general purpose film with silicon adhesive. Kapton polyimide film shows excellent electrical insulation properties, excellent release surface at elevated temperatures, and excellent solvent resistant. Kapton tape remain stable and combines excellent physical, electrical, and mechanical properties; therefore, Kapton tape has been used in various applications such as 3D Printing, electronics manufacturing, spacecraft and satellite at temperatures as low as -273°C (-459°F) and as high as 400°C (752°F).
