The Kendama is a traditional skill toy that evolved in Japan decades ago and has since spread across the world.

The goal of this game is to swing the ball from the string, and catch it in one three places: One of the two side cups, the cup at the bottom of the ken (handle), or threading the hole on the ball (ana) onto the top spike (kensaki). There are also a wide variety of other tricks you can perform with a kendama, but these are the main tricks that most people learn.

You may have seen various pro-level disc golfers using a kendama. While their reasoning for playing is unknown, we are sure a lot of it is because they have fun doing it.
