The Ginkgo Tree is a historical tree grown in zones 3-9. It's known for its unusual leaves and great yellow fall color. Size varies from 10-80ft.
Tornado Ginkgo has leaves that twist and turn in a spiral pattern.
- Split Leaf Ginkgo has leaves that are split into two or more lobes.
- Variegated Ginkgo has leaves that are green with white or yellow markings.
- Fan Palm Ginkgo has leaves that are larger and more fan-shaped than the typical ginkgo leaf.
- Jagged Jade Ginkgo has leaves that are thicker and more ruffled than the typical ginkgo leaf.
These unusual leaf variations are caused by genetic mutations. They are not harmful to the tree and can be a beautiful addition to any landscape.
It is important to note that not all ginkgo trees will produce unusual leaves. The chances of a tree producing unusual leaves are increased if it is a grafted tree or if it is grown from a cutting of a tree that produces unusual leaves.
Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
