Western Bulk Herbs Icelandic Moss is a soothing demulcent herb and generally soothes the mucous mebranes. It is also a nourishing herb and can be helpful in staving off malnourishment, debility, and cachexia. This herb is helpful in relieving gastritis, vomiting, and dyspepsia. Icelandic moss is actually a type of lichen rather than a true moss. It has been used as a replacement for starch as a way to thicken food and culinary dishes.
