Christina Hendricks: Life After “Mad Men”

Is there life after Mad Men? Christina Hendricks has certainly answered that question with a resounding Yes! The glamorous redhead will forever be remembered by fans as Joan Harris, the irrepressible one-time office manager at Sterling Cooper, who rises to become one of the most successful characters in Matthew Weiner’s Golden Globe winning series. Since the end of Mad Men the actress, who has been called a throwback to the days of Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell and Veronica Lake, has definitely not rested on her laurels. The HFPA recently visited with her on the Canadian set of Bad Santa 2, she is currently on the big screen in Nicolas Winding Refn’s The Neon Demon and she has just concluded the first season run in Sundance TV’s Hap and Leonard, a southern noir adapted from Joe Lansdale’s novels about the misadventures of a couple of cliché-defying good ol’ boys in East Texas. Hendricks stopped by HFPA headquarters to chat and we asked her about the project.
