From odgnieść + -ać. First attested in 1809.[1] Compare Kashubian òdgniatac and Silesian ôdgniŏtać.

- (transitive) to leave a mark of something by crushing [+ na (locative) = on what], [+ w (locative) = in what]
- (transitive) to cause damage to some body part by crushing [+dative = whose body part]
- (transitive, obsolete) to crush off (to remove by crushing)
- (reflexive with się) to leave a mark of oneself by crushing [+ na (locative) = on what], [+ w (locative) = in what]
- Synonym: odcisnąć się
- (reflexive with się) to deform from crushing
- (reflexive with się, of a body part) to be damaged by crushing
