Dmitriy Bogachev
Chef
Born on July 10th 1981 in a small town at the Leningrad region – Pikalevo. Graduated from the Naval school as a “naval cook”. Aged 17, he got his first job as a cook at a cafe
The 1st restaurant to present Dmitriy with a wealth of experience was the "1913 god" restaurant, where worked for 2 years. In 2002, the Mansarda’s future Chef moved to the "Akvarel" restaurant. After which he worked at the countryside “Time Out” restaurant. The big break came when he worked at the “Odin” restaurant – that’s where he met Igor Zorin, who told him about the Michelin Guide, Gordon Ramsay and the global food culture. Since then, Dmitriy has become a culinary bibliophile. His collection includes the famous 2005 “El Bulli” book in Spanish, around 40 books by famed Chefs and, certainly, Gordon Ramsay’s book among many others. In early 2005, Dmitriy was appointed as Chef of the "Gastronom" restaurant, where he worked for almost two years, kick-starting his career as a Chef. In 2007 he was offered a position in opening the “Shilling” pubs. 5 years later, he was hired to run the kitchens at the "ZimaLeto" and the "Villa ZL" restaurants. Since May 2014, Dmitriy has been in charge of the Mansarda restaurant’s kitchen, where he cooks exceptional, unrivaled, technically complex and beautifully-looking food.
