Man, how I wish Capcom would have done something with Dino Crisis, the first two games were awesome. Remakes would have been neat, whether it's more like RE 1 on Gamecube or the more recent RE 2 ones that followed the RE 4 formula gameplay-wise.
I loved the first game's horrific atmosphere just as I loved the "bigger and louder" high-octane action of the second game, with more dinosaurs and more weapons to blast them back to the stone age. Basically, I liked that they were close in tone to the two Jurassic Park movies Spielberg directed (and the first two Alien movies, from a certain point of view): leaning towards horror first then diving into action second.
And, of course, I loved Regina, who was a damn good female protagonist, the perfect mix of pretty, sexy (can't go wrong with her original bodysuit, although the prehistoric secret outfit was fun), deadly, brainy and witty (gotta love some of the lines she has when facing the T-Rex). Definitely one of Capcom's best underrated girls.
