Zimering was injured early in the season and struggled to catch up as the season progressed, finding himself as the odd-man out in the new system implemented by first-year head coach Jaro Zawislan.

Sophomore Season - 2008
Zimering continued to see significant minutes off the bench, making 14 appearances, with four starts. He appeared in the starting lineup in three straight games from Oct. 15 against Penn State to Oct. 21 at Colgate.

Freshman Season - 2007
Zimering was a key contributor off the bench for the Big Red as a freshman, appearing in 14 games with two appearances in the starting lineup. He made his collegiate debut in the season opener on Aug. 31 against Kentucky, then made his first appearance in the starting lineup two days later in the win against IUPUI.

At The Pingry School
Zimering was a standout player and four-year letterman for The Pingry School, helping the team to a parochial state championship as a senior captain. He earned first-team all-state parochial honors, scoring 23 goals and nine assists as a senior. Zimering also holds Pingry’s all-time single game scoring record. He has been a part of the New Jersey ODP State team from 2001 to 2006, was also a member of the Region I ODP team from 2002 to 2004 and was a member of the U.S. U-15 Men’s National Team in 2003-04. His former club, Ironbound Warriors, were N.J. State Cup Champions in 2004 and 2005 and won the U.S. Club Soccer National Championship in 2006. Zimering currently plays for PDA Vieira, which qualified for the semifinals of the N.J. State Cup in 2006. In the classroom, Zimering was honored as an Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholar.
