Headlight Bulbs

The headlights on the mk5 are pretty poor but can be uprated. 

It is possible to replace your current H4 60/55 bulbs with some Xenon types, their 25% brighter, but remember to keep to the same wattage as the wiring for these is not able to cope with higher wattage bulbs.

You can then replace the H3/55 watt bulbs with a 100 watt equivalent but no higher.

Or you could fit a Morette twin headlight conversion kit, part number 9314000.  Ford also provide a similar kit, part number 909930.  Both these kits improve both lighting and looks of the mk5.

This car has had one light removed to facilitate a cooling duct to be utilised, a mod that is becoming quite popular.
