ELF Hypershine Lipgloss

Elf hypershine lip glosses have been on my mind for a while and luckily when I was thinking about buying them the ELF 50% off deal came as well. I really wanted to try them as I had heard quite a lot about these.
I am pretty pleased with both of these. They glide on quite well and the colour payoff is pretty good. Though they are slightly sticky which can be a con for some and the smell is not that great either.
You need to twist the bottom of the lip gloss about 8-10 times for the lip gloss to come through. The first time I did this too much of the gloss came out...FAIL.

I do love the overall packaging, and how its transparent but the twist thing is slightly annoying but I am willing to put that aside.
I really don't understand why the swatches wont show. The colour looks great on lips and pigmentation is nice as well but the swatches.... oh God they just would not show. Both colours looked the same when I swatched them. So yeah i might try to add the swatches again later...I just realized that sorry :(

These retail at £1.50 which is great. I got two of thses in flirt and vixen.
Flirt is almost a nude pink colour which I usually wear in the day time or just casually and Vixen is slightly more dressy. Its quite a bright shade between red and orange and looks great if your planning to go out at night.

The applicator is quite good as well. Its a small brush that helps apply the lip gloss quite well and smoothly.
:)

Again sorry about the swatches.
Tell me if you guys have tried these and your experience with it. Any other colours you guys would recommend?

Review- ELF Cream eyeliners

Hey guys,
I recently purchased some ELF products and with that I also bought some of their cream eyeliners. I did read about these eyeliners and there were some good reviews and some bad but I still went ahead bought them to try them out.

I bought them in 3 shades called gunmetal, coffee, and midnight.
My favorite has to be coffee. The pigmentation of it is jut WOW.

This first one is in Midnight which is a navy blueish colour. I actually had a lot of expectations from this colour but it actually disappointed me. I did think it would be really pigmented but to my surprise it was the opposite. If you look at the swatch below the colour payoff is really light and it almost looks watery. I kinda used this as a base to layer eyeshadows instead for which it worked great but then again that was not the purpose for it.

This second one is in coffee which is a brown and I love this one! The pigmentation is great and it really shows up when applied. I've actually been using this a lot as it makes my eyes look really open and awake plus it looks less harsh than using black. It gives a softness to your eyes. Its lovely. Deffo a recommendation!

Lastly I also ordered Gunmetal, a shimmery grayish colour almost like steel which I also like. It has a lot of sparkle and shimmer in it which to my surprise showed up in this picture. It just look kinda funky i guess and the colour payoff is not too bad either. The shimmer shows up when applied and it stays on.

All three of these come with an eyeliner brush as well which to be honest I didn't use as much only a couple of times but its okay as well.

Swatches... coffee, gunmetal, midnight
These are normally £3.50.
The staying power is really good though. I tried to remove these with facial wipes but it didn't come off! This can be a pro and con haha. But I don't really mind.
One thing though, my coffee eyeliner is starting to get dryed already! Does anyone know how to prevent this. Please let me know!
Ill soon try to post some EOTD looks using these eyeliner for a better understanding.

Tell me your thoughts :)

Are you ready for Autumn?

Whats colours and styles are gonna be a hit in the next season? These are just some of the fashion predictions and I am so excited :D

Well I have been looking around and some of the prominent colours, that I have seen and read about in various magazines that really stand out are Mustard, Red and Orange. I do think that these are the perfect colours for autumn as they remind me of the leaves in autumn. You know all the red, yellow and orange tones. I really hope I make sense.
I guess this is a great way to infuse colour in your wardrobe and even owning lets say a burgundy cardigan can be a great statement piece.

Another thing that will be taking over are very bold and colourful chunky knits. I personally love this. It just looks so cozy and wintry. They would be great for the colder days.

ELF Haul

Hey guys,
Recently Elf had a 50% of sale so I kinda took advantage and got a few items I had my eye on.
I will be doing seprate reviews and maybe some comaprisions as well on some of the products.

I was actually really excited when this came through the post. Talk about being 12 LOL.
Some of the items I got, are raved about all the time and some were a repurchase.

I ordered three ELF cream eyeliners which I have heard so much about, in gunmetal a shimmery sliver colour, coffee a brown shade and midnight a dark blue. I have not tried these on yet but I definitely will be doing a separate review on these.

I also ordered the new 3 piece eyelid primer set which I can't wait to try out. This comes in 3 shades; Champagne, pearl and nude. This is another item I definitely will be doing a review on.
With this I also ordered a blush in Candid coral and I love this! Its such a pretty colour with some shimmer. Review? Maybe.

Also I bought an all over cover stick in warm peach,a tinted moisturiser (repurchase), 2 hypershine lipglosses in Vixen and flirt and 2 mineral lipsticks in Natural nymph which I have heard so much about and cool coral.

The lipstick colours here really dont do justice. The colours are a little lighter.

I also got some nail polishes in teal, nude, fuchsia and smoky brown.

Oh and yes some blending wedges and a stipple brush. And that's it. sorry for this being so long. Did any of you guys buy any items from the 50% of sale? or any of these you have tried on?

let me know.

Best of July :)

Hey guys...this is a bit of a rushed post sorry!
I have had so much to do lately I feel like I am neglecting my blog.
Anyways I thought that I might do a post on July favorites or the best of July.
This summer has gone so fast :(

Okay so firstly I have been loving the Garneir body intensive lotion. This is amazing. You just put it on and it leaves you feeling amazing! The smell is nice as well and it actually does what it says...hydrates your skin. It says it has nourishing Shea butter. After using it for a whole week my skin definitely felt nourished and hydrated and the dryness was definitely low. I applied it in the morning and till night my skin felt really good. Its only £2.99. What more can you ask for?

The second product is a body mist spray. I have used this product quite frequently over the years and it has now become my all time must have especially for the summer time. This is the Sunflowers, Exhilarators with sunflower and orange. The smell is so fresh and lifting and it helps you feel refreshed. Definitely try this out.

This is a hair product that I adore. The TRESemme Curl Defining frizz control mousse. My hair is in between straight, wavy and slight curls so I figured this would be something great to try.I have stopped using heat on my hair the past 3 months or so and it has definitely made a difference. I just use this product in damp hair and scrunch it in my hair and just let be natural and it looks great. It doesn't make it appear sticky or greasy but quite nourished and healthy. Love this.

Now these two items are from No7 that I initially disliked. The first is a primer and the second is a foundation. They're both from the intelligent colour line. I must say when I bought them and tried them out a couple of times at home I thought it was a waste of money as the foundation and the primer both dried out my skin even more. But I bought these in winter when my oily skin type gets quite dry. I randomly decided to give these another go like a month ago and they work amazing. The primer blocked out all the shine on my skin and the excessive oil and the foundation is really light weight and you get a barely there, powdery feeling. Its not a lot of coverage but it is very lightweight. I figured that these two products are great for summer and not so great for winter.

And my last group is my pink group consisting of my July blusher, lipstick and nail colour.

MUA lipstick in shade 4 is in my bag ever since I bought it. I love how much moisture it gives you and how summer perfect it is.

Natural collection blusher in Sugarplum. Recently bought this and I've been addicted to this. Its very subtle on the cheeks and gives you the perfect rosy with a hint of bronze colour.

ELF all over cover-stick in Pink lemonade is also another item that I've been using as a blusher. It gives a really natural dewy finish on the cheeks. Been loving this for the past month.

And last but not the least Rimmal nail colour in pink punk. I love this colour. Its my all time favorite and sadly it has been discontinued. Always the god stuff. Its a perfect summer pink.

Check out my summer besties tag here. :)

Hope guys enjoyed this post :)
Any July favorites of yours?
