Details: The Ford Fiesta by Ken Block

In memory

Gymkhana is actually an older form of car racing. It involves negotiating a course with various obstacles and changes of direction as quickly as possible. But gymkhana took place out of public view for an eternity. Until the American rally driver Ken Block stepped onto the stage in 2008. Suddenly millions of people sat spellbound in front of the screen when the true “Hoonigan” published another video. It was the same with Gymkhana Three in 2014. Ken Block managed 69 million views with his Ford Fiesta. The video was filmed on the former race track in Montlhéry, France.

Ken Block’s Ford Fiesta was a rough machine. It was converted by the Swedish rally specialists Olsbergs. The 2-litre four-cylinder engine was increased to 600 hp, with power flowing to all four wheels. The monster Ford sprinted from 0 to 100 km/h in just under 2 seconds. Ken Block and his “Hoonigan” team went on to become YouTube superstars – and below we gladly link to this legendary video.

Ken Block’s legendary Ford Fiesta was auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s in Miami at the end of last year – a not exactly exhilarating 252,000 dollars were achieved for the fully functional vehicle. In memory of Ken Block, who tragically passed away on 2 January 2023, we show below all the details of this extraordinary vehicle – they show well what a freak Block was, how much attention to detail he paid. This was the only way he was able to turn his wonderful videos into an art form.
